Erebus from Dreadbox is a new semi-modular paraphonic analog synth module. It is a monophonic synth architecture, that allows for independent control of its two oscillators. This means you can play (or sequence) two different pitches, but the pitches will go through a shared VCF, VCA, etc. It has a Poly chain ability where you can connect up to 4 Erebus units in a chain to achieve more than 2 voices paraphony.
The main features of the Erebus include:
Full Analog 2-voice Paraphony or Unison sounds, only with Through Hole components
Poly chain ability: You can connect up to 4 Erebus units in a chain to achieve more than 2 voices paraphony.
2 x VCO with seperate glide controls
2 pole (12dB/ocv) pre-fed resonating VC Low Pass Filter
VC LFO with additional VC Depth
2 x Envelope Generators (1xADSR and 1xAR dedicated to the AMP)
Bought this as first hardware synth after weeks of research: not at all disappointed. The oscillators sound amazing throughout the whole spectum and the filter is just out of this world. It has everything one could need to really undersand and learn how synthesis works. Gr8 product.
