As in many other areas, FAME Audio has proven that quality does not necessarily have to be expensive. Whether speakers, power amplifiers, microphones or accessories - in all areas FAME Audio offers optimal solutions for every event. It is no different with the broadcast channels and thus also the MSW Pro 4 Vocal Quad wireless microphone system, which is not only characterized by a good sound, but also stability during transmission and intuitive operation. The automatic channel search in the registration-free frequency range also makes the work of every technician easier, even when time is short, as is often the case.
Whether amateurs or professionals - artists will also enjoy the sound and operation of the 4 cardioid microphones, which score with a wide frequency spectrum and an equally simple operation. The mounting option in the rack, a suitable power supply and an output jack cable complete the overall picture.
The MSW Pro 4 receiver is the heart of the set and offers several features that make radio work easier. First of all, the registration-free frequency range is a big plus, as the search for free frequencies is much easier. Via the scan button, the MSW-PRO2 searches for free frequencies and confirms them with a "scan ok" on the OLED displays. Of course, it is also possible to manually select the proposed frequencies and channels via the menu button: Here, 2 groups of 8 frequencies each and a bank for storing the favorites are available.
In addition, the receiver also independently searches for free channels at the touch of a button and synchronizes with the transmitters. All you have to do is point the IR interface of the handheld microphones at the receiver and you're ready to go!
On the back are all the necessary connections for forwarding the signal and for transmitting/receiving. On the left and right outside the supplied antennas can be attached - with which a transmission range of up to 60m is possible - while the XLR and jack outputs provide a connection to the mixer. The following applies: The Mix-Out stands for the entire mix including all microphone signals, the XLR outputs each for one of the microphones. The system is powered by the included power supply.
Another useful feature: The receiver can also be easily installed in racks to ensure a firmly screwed and thus even safer installation of the kit.
The operation of the MSW Pro handheld transmitters is also very simple, while the robust housing and especially the good sound are already convincing during testing. Thanks to the automatic synchronization of the devices, the four dynamic microphones simply have to be switched on and held in front of the receiver with the IR interface (provided that the sync button has been pressed on the receiver).
Sound-wise, the microphones offer a wide frequency response of 50Hz - 16KHz for any type of voice. The cardioid characteristic always prevents feedback problems even in difficult situations, while the on/off switch can be pressed at any time without losing the current frequency or disconnecting from the receiver. Last but not least, the built-in LED display should be mentioned here, which clearly shows the most important info.
The MSW Pro works in the registration and free frequency band 823 - 832 Mhz & 863 - 865 Mhz.
FAME Audio also offers the MSW Pro 2 version, which includes a total of 2 MSW Pro handheld transmitters, or the Pro 1 version, with one handheld transmitter and the optionally available 19" mounting kit.
I bought this set to be used in a children's sing school. The idea was to give to the children the experience of singing with a wireless microphone in their hands, just as they would when they were on stage. Thus, in the school they will have the opportunity to have this experience before, and not only on the day of the first performance.
This was the best set of 4 wireless microphones I've found, considering any price. They are easy to install and use, are relatively lightweight, and similar to professional top-of-the-line microphones in terms of appearance. The only less positive point may be the sensitivity of the microphones, which appears to be a bit below professional microphones. But the latter have their price for some reason...
