Body and neck
The body of the Fender '63 Stratocaster RW Relic Black is made of alder and is complemented by a four-piece bolt-on maple neck, which is equipped with an authentic '60s oval "C" neck profile. The high-quality rosewood fingerboard is also equipped with 21 frets and comes with a compound radius of 9.5" - 12", allowing chord changes and barres in the nut area to be changed quickly, while riffs and leads in high registers can be played accurately. This allows optimal playability and ensures precise handling of the instrument, especially when bluesy licks or extroverted solos are to be fed with a lot of expression and character. The '63 Stratocaster also comes with a nut width of 41.91 mm and a scale length of 25.5".
The three Texas Special single coils form the heart of the Stratocaster.
Texas Special Single Coils
Of course, the legendary Strat sound should not be missing from the handmade Fender '63 Stratocaster RW Relic Black and is made possible by three Texas Special single coils. The iconic Strat twang is defined by its singing dynamics, which brings a strong expression and conveys a very special sound character. The pickups can be changed via a 5-way switch and, depending on their position, produce an articulate sound that is characterized either by a crisp pick attack (bridge and middle pickup) or soft mids and present highs (neck pickup). Particularly clear clean sounds or dynamic Overdrive can be processed incredibly cleanly via the electric guitar, which is why bluesy licks or defined riffs in particular have a memorable character. The crystal-clear sound of the Fender Stratocaster has been shaping music history for seven decades and has found its way onto every album and stage in the world.
The neck plate with the Fender Custom Shop logo is a quality feature of the handmade '63 Stratocaster.
