With theFender '51 Nocaster Journeyman MN Black, the FenderCustom store presents a subtly modernized interpretation of the model produced only in early 1951 without a type designation on the headstock. Accordingly, the electric guitar offers a body made of light ash and a bolt-on neck made of maple, which fits comfortably in the hand due to the "Nocaster U" profile. At the guitar amp, two Fender '51 Nocaster single coil pickups in neck and bridge positions deliver a fat sound that provides each with its signature twang, making it the perfect foundation for assertive blues, country and rock tones. Last but not least, the Fender '51 Nocaster Journeyman Relic Black features precise Fender VintageStyle tuners and the tried-and-true Fender '51 Telecaster Style bridge and string routing through the body.
The Fender '51 Nocaster Journeyman from the Custom Shop shines with a deft aging finish and powerful tonal transformation.
Due to the Journeyman Aging of the Fender Custom Shop, the Nocaster is provided with authentic playing traces.
Traditional construction
The '51 Nocaster from the FenderCustom Shop is a faithful replica of the short-playing model that became known as the "Nocaster" between the Broadcaster and Telecaster due to its historic construction and features. Crucial to the vintage feel of the black T-style electric guitar is the wide maple neck, which sits low in the hand due to the Nocaster 'U' profile and invites big bends and bluesy licks with a classic 7.25-inch fretboard radius. Furthermore, the solid neck is quadruple-bolted to the two-piece ash body, whose black nitrocellulose finish appears particularly authentic due to the skillful ageing process.
The iconic Telecaster appearance is completed by the chrome details.
Hardware and '51 Nocaster Pickups
A duo of Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster single coil pickups deliver a rich sound with the typical Tele twang and balanced articulated mids. Reliable vintage elements were also chosen for the 51 Nocaster's hardware appointments. Vintage-style tuners with Fender lettering and a Telecaster bridge, which guides the strings through the body, keep all six strings in a stable intonation. Of course, the appearance of the pickups and the high-quality Hardware was also provided with slight traces on the Closet Classic stage by the Fender ageing process.
