Thanks to its solid parlor construction, the Fender Paramount PS-220E NAT produces an extensive sound image with subtle bass, assertive midrange and clear treble frequencies. These can unfold quickly and over a wide area due to the extra-flat bracing and the razor-thin finish, so that the acoustic guitar is excellently suited for fingerstyle, for example. At the same time, the flat neck promises obliging playability in all 20 frets, which intonate cleanly with the help of the high-quality bone hardware. Smooth tuners are inserted into the headstock to ensure precise tuning of the 6 steel strings. Conveniently, an active pickup system is built into the instrument, which transmits the acoustic sound to the amplifier without distortion. Visually, the guitar is kept very traditional and impresses with a noble high-gloss finish. The scope of delivery includes a Fender Deluxe Black hardshell case.
Thanks to a Sitka spruce top with Scalloped-X bracing, the Parlor produces a wide-ranging sound that is enriched with powerful midrange and defined treble frequencies, even when played lightly. Mahogany back and sides further complement each note with a pleasantly warm touch, making the overall sound very balanced. The mahogany neck features a flat 'C' profile for effortless gripping. This allows the entire Ovangkol fingerboard to be reached optimally in all positions, making even complex chords and fingering patterns a breeze. The bridge made of Ovangkol is equipped with noble ebony pins, with which the strings are fixed.
For easy string tuning, the Paramount PS-220E NAT guitar is equipped with open nickel tuners that also perfectly match the generally traditional appearance. Meanwhile, a compensated bridge inlay and 43mm wide bone nut ensure clean sound development across the 643mm scale. The fretboard is adorned with delicate snowflake inlays that serve as a guide for the player. The top and soundhole are surrounded with Checkered inlays, which contrast the colouring of the top in a very aesthetic way. In addition, the top has an extensive tiger-striped pickguard glued to it.
To allow the instrument to be used on stage, a Fishman Sonitone pickup system is built into the body. With the help of a piezo element under the saddle, the acoustic sound is transmitted directly to the preamp. This is elegantly concealed in the sound hole and includes a tone control as well as a volume control, so that the output signal can be individually adjusted. The active system is powered by a 9V block battery.
Just received the guitar. Haven’t had much time to check it out but feels and sound excepcional. Big thumbs up to the Musicstore team. Great service!
