The Player Plus J-Bass naturally comes in the offset design of the sixties, which combines a distinctive look with comfortable handling characteristics. The alder body with offset waist and supple contours fits the player comfortably. The bolt-on maple neck in Modern C profile with obligatory 1.5" nut width (38 mm) together with the maple fingerboard with 12" radius and rounded flanks provide a buttery-smooth playability that makes every groove go off with ease.
Multifaceted sound, reliable hardware
At the bass amp, two Fender Player Plus Noiseless Single Coil pickups deliver a wide-ranging sound that remains free of ambient noise thanks to the special construction of the pickups. While the middle pickup offers a deep, yet transparent sound, the bridge pickup delivers an assertive sound with a wiry presence. In addition to the blend control for smooth mixing of both pickups, the electric Bass features an active 3-band tone control for precise adjustment of the sound. The Player Plus Jazz Bass can also be set to traditional passive mode via the mini switch. The extremely robust HiMass Bridge not only supports the balanced sound of the bass guitar, but also guarantees exact adjustment of intonation and string position. On the classically styled headstock, open-gear bass tuners provide robust tuning for Fender's Player Plus Jazz Bass MN Aged Candy Apple Red.
