The Friedman Golden Pearl is a transparent lower gain overdrive effect pedal with a strong character and optional clipping modes. The Golden Pearl can either give clean amplifiers a little boost for tube break-up or tip an already cranked amp into ripping saturation. A handy Hi-Cut switch provides 3x different options to cut frequencies, providing creamy warm sounds or clear transparent overdrive. In addition to this there’s the Voice switch which lets you choose between 3x clipping modes; No Clipping Mode, LED or Diode, each creating a wildly different tonal character. This pedal is also capable of taking an 18V power supply for additional clarity and headroom.

I own several Dave Friedman products & they are absolute quality. I’m not a high gain person but the low gain sounds you can dial in quickly on this pedal are amazing.
