The Istanbul Mehmet BlackBell Splash 10" made of high-quality B20 bronze in a brilliant finish captivates with its spectacular appearance and a wonderfully multi-faceted sound that convinces beginners and professionals alike. The special thing about the Istanbul Mehmet BlackBell Splash is that the bell has a dark, untreated character and the playing surface is gently lathed. This results in a spectacular frequency mix. The dark, raw Bell has an earthy and deep basic character, and the lathed part produces smoother and more brilliant frequencies. This splash of Istanbul ennobles the sound of every drum set, be it playing drums in the rehearsal room or performing live with the band.
The resulting, extremely wide sound range serves almost every musical style and can sound defined and quiet as well as loud and dark. The Istanbul Mehmet BlackBell Splash is made of high-quality B20 bronze and, like all Istanbul cymbals, is of course completely handcrafted according to old Turkish tradition.
The special thing about the Istanbul Mehmet BlackBell cymbals is the combination of raw bell and lathed playing surface. The bell is dark and untreated, while the rest of the cymbal is lathed and finely hammered. The low and metallic frequencies of the bell are thus combined with the bright and finely defined character of the playing surface, creating a unique mixture that serves both loud and soft styles. Stylistically they can be used in every conceivable direction, from metal to pop or hip-hop. Gently struck, the tone is light and warm, with firm play dark and deep again.
Like all Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals, the BlackBell version is 100% handmade in Turkey. Old tradition meets modern and innovative approaches to achieve the best results. The classic B20 alloy, which is used as standard in most professional cymbal series, is used.
