With the Mayones Hydra Elite 7 Trans Dirty Purple Burst Satin, the Polish metal axe manufacturer from Gdansk has launched an agile 7-string electric guitar in a trendy headless design. As usual, Mayones relies on an excellent choice of wood, which manifests itself in the mahogany body with poplar burl top and the five-piece wenge-amaranth neck with ebony fingerboard. On the guitar amplifier, Mayone's TKO by Bare Knuckle 7-string humbuckers deliver modern rock and metal sounds that impress with excellent detail and dynamics even at high-gain settings and low tunings. Last but not least, the seven-string Hydra Elite 7 headless guitar is equipped with seven individual fine-tuner bridges from ABM and an in-house S-CLAMP headpiece.

The six-bolt neck of the Mayones Hydra Elite can be easily played up to the highest registers thanks to its flowing neck foot and wide cutaways.
First-class woods and high-playing comfort
Based on a compact headless design without a headstock, the Mayones Hydra Elite not only impresses with its first-class choice of woods but also with its extremely agile handling. In addition to the slim mahogany body, Mayones relies on an intensively drawn top made of burl poplar, while the six-piece bolt-onneck is made of wenge and amaranth (purpleheart) and has an ebony fingerboard. The compact body design with wide Cutaways and the slim D-neck profile guarantee unimpeded playability across all 24 stainless steel frets, with fluorescent side dots from Luminlay marking the positions.

Two Mayones TKO by Bare Knuckle 7-string humbuckers, which have been tuned by the British pickup manufacturer to the distinctive characteristics of Mayones guitars, are responsible for the electric tone conversion of the electric guitar. The TKO bridge humbucker, equipped with powerful ceramic magnets, delivers a powerful and tight sound with excellent Tracking of every note played, even at high gain and low tunings, while the TKO neck pickup is a modern Alnico V humbucker with a particularly clear and open sound. The electric guitar is also equipped with a treble bleed circuit that prevents treble loss when the volume is reduced with the volume control.

Behind the GraphTechBlack TUSQ nut, the Mayones S-CLAMP Element Headpiece made of brass further secures the strings at the end of the neck.
