The Music Man John Petrucci Majesty Monarchy 7 Imperial Blue is the signature electric guitar of the Dream Theater string witcher, a high performance instrument perfected down to the smallest details, which animates every musician to new peak performances. This 7-string guitar convinces with a consequent further development of the optimized Neck-Through construction, which results in an extremely smooth playability over all positions. On the guitar amplifier, two DiMarzio Sonic Ecstasy humbuckers promise massive metal sounds, while the piezo system provides transparent acoustic sounds. Last but not least, the Music Man Majesty is equipped with the John Petrucci Floating Tremolo and precise Schaller Locking tuners.
The main goal in the development of the Music Man Majesty Monarchy 7 was the creation of a perfectly balanced and easily playable electric guitar that lets even the most virtuoso solos and complex riffs go relaxed. Accordingly, the Music Man Majesty has a full-length Honduran mahogany neck, whose ebony fingerboard is completely accessible through the generous cutaways of the African mahogany body wings. The wide and flat"D" profile lies comfortably in the hand and offers sufficient space for a perfect finger replacement. Another visual highlight is the crest shaped maple top, whose intensive grain is perfectly highlighted by the transparent blue finish.
Music Man John Petrucci Majesty Monarchy 7 also shows highest performance on the guitar amplifier and delivers versatile sounds thanks to an elaborate pickup system. Two DiMarzio Sonic Ecstasy humbuckers are used as magnetic pickups, which were developed in close cooperation with John Petrucci for the recordings of "The Astonishing". Accordingly, the pickups convince with a massive sound whose emphasis on bass and midrange guarantees an enormous depth of sound. Whether burning riffs with aggressive gain settings, flowing soli lines or harmonically resolved chord work, these pickups provide the perfect basis for expressive electric guitar playing. If additional volume and gain reserves are required, the 20 dB boost of the active Music Man custom preamp can also be activated.
The Music Man Majesty Monarchy 7 is also equipped with a piezo pickup system that delivers authentic acoustic guitar sounds with pickups integrated into the bridge's string riders. The system can be operated either alone or in combination with the magnetic pickups, while the trim controls, which are accessible from the back of the guitar, can be used to adjust not only the bass and treble content, but also the mix ratio.
In addition, the Music Man Majesty is equipped with a digital switching system based on game changer technology. This not only handles all switching operations, whereby the signal remains completely analog, but also allows switching the output socket between mono and stereo operation for separate or common output of the pickup signals.
Last but not least, the Music Man John Petrucci Majesty Monarchy 7 Imperial Blue is equipped with indestructible hardware that can withstand even the toughest touring conditions with unshakable reliability. On the body is the Music Man custom John Petrucci Floating Tremolo, which convinces with an especially smooth handling and offers an extremely high tuning stability even without "Double Locking" construction. Due to the smooth and edge-free surface, it also provides the percussion hand with a contact surface. From the bridge the strings with 25.5" scale length (648 mm) are guided towards the headstock, where a compensated saddle guarantees a clean intonation. Schaller M6-IND locking mechanisms also ensure precise tuning and quick string changes. Of course the Music Man John Petrucci Majesty is delivered in a Music Man hard case, which protects the instrument during transport.
