The Music Man John Petrucci Majesty 7 Red Sunrise was developed in close cooperation with the string master of the American prog institution Dream Theater and proves to be an absolute high-performance guitar that inspires every musician to virtuoso climaxes. The 7-string electric guitar is made in an elaborate neck-through design and features an extremely agile mahogany neck and body wings, while the figured maple shield in the middle emphasises the noble look. A pair of DiMarzio Rainmaker and Dreamcatcher pickups on the guitar amplifier ensure hot yet defined guitar sounds between clean and high gain, while the obligatory piezo system contributes authentic acoustic sounds. Last but not least, the Music Man John Petrucci Majesty 7 Red Sunrise features the tuning-stable Custom John Petrucci tremolo and schaller M6-IND locking tuners.
The elaborate neck-through design of the Music Man Majesty 7 emphasises optimised playing characteristics that allow all playing techniques to emerge with ease, and therefore not limit creativity. The flat D-profile of the full-length mahogany neck fits comfortably in the hand, while the ebony fingerboard with stainless steel binding ensures smooth playing with bends that glide as if on rails. The wide cutaways of the mahogany body also guarantee unlimited access to the higher registers. Last but not least, the inlaid figured maple shield adds an elegant visual highlight.
At the guitar amp, the Music Man Majesty 7 Red Sunrise with its flexible pick-up system proves to be a true all-rounder for every sound between acoustic cleans and brute high-gain distortion. The DiMarzio Rainmaker and Dreamcatcher humbucker convince with an extremely transparent sound, which reacts sensitively to the playing technique and delivers tight riffing with rich pressure, while solo lines pearl harmonically singing from the speakers. If desired, the switchable boost of the active preamp releases additional volume and gain reserves. The piezo pickup system also delivers outstanding acoustic sounds with a lively response.
Last but not least, the John Petrucci Majesty 7 Red Sunrise electric guitar comes with a high-quality hardware setup that handles even the toughest use on the road with unshakable reliability. The Music Man Custom John Petrucci tremolo is attached to the body by two free-floating bolts and impresses with its particularly smooth response for pitch bending up and down. Here, the system offers tuning stability due to the Schaller M6-IND locking tuners, while the elegant chevron cover provides a comfortable rest for the thumb during palm mutes.
