Condenser microphone with pad circuit & low-cut filter
The Oktava MK-319 is a professional condenser microphone with cardioid pick up pattern, which is ideally suited for use in the studio or in broadcast applications. The microphone scores with a musical basic sound, a high dynamic range of 122 dB, as well as a wide frequency range of20 - 18,000Hz. On board is a -10dB pad and a high-pass filter to capture loud sources, or to prevent impact noise.

‘The Russian’, a 219 predecessor to the Oktava 319 has been my go-to mic at a studio where I’ve recorded my last 3 albums. The studio has Neumanns but this mic always has the edge. I had such a crush on the Russian that I had to buy myself an Oktava. For my dark, contralto low female voice it’s a superb mic.
