The Presonus AIR18s subwoofer is designed to complement any full-range PA speaker and is the perfect extension for the AIR10, AIR12 and AIR15 thanks to its powerful, transparent and precise low bass reproduction. With its 18" bass driver driven by a 1200 W class D power amplifier, it provides a detailed reproduction in the bass range down to 30 Hz. Nevertheless, it is easy to transport and equally suitable for mobile applications and fixed installations.
Since each venue has its own acoustic characteristics and each application has different audio system requirements, the AIR Series subwoofers are equipped with easy-to-use controls and presets for signal processing. Set your subwoofers to a conventional FOH mode or activate the Mo' Bass preset to transmit low bass with even more power. Set them up to work in an array. Reverse polarity, set a crossover frequency via the low-pass filter, turn off the master output level for the power amp, turn off the LED behind the grille for fixed installation if necessary, or configure it to light only when the limiter protection circuit is working - all these functions are available at the touch of a button.
Despite the sturdy, tour-ready birchwood cabinet, the PreSonus AIR18s is more compact and lighter than you would expect from a subwoofer with these power reserves. Thanks to the included castor kit, floor mounting and ergonomic handles on both sides, it is particularly easy to transport for mobile use while providing all the mechanical and performance features you need for demanding installations. The AIR18s has two combo inputs with XLR and 6.35 mm TRS line connectors and a volume control as well as outputs that loop the signal through to full-range systems or other subwoofers in larger systems. You can also turn off the power LED on the front panel for an unobtrusive installation.
AIR18s subwoofers can be combined with virtually any full-range speaker. Whichever full-range speaker you choose, a precise matching of the subwoofer to the full-range speaker provides a more defined bass response. The AIR18s subwoofers offer a variable delay for precise adjustment of your 3-way system, regardless of whether the full-range speaker is placed above the subwoofer using a tripod rod or a few meters away. The AIR series subwoofers feature an internal variable low-pass filter that lets you adjust the crossover frequency for your system. Optimized settings for use with the full-range AIR10, AIR12 and AIR15 speakers are already included.
With flexible connectivity, a rugged and tour-ready housing and sufficient Class D power, the AIR18s provides the versatility and power needed in fixed installations. At the same time, it is relatively lightweight and easy to transport, making it ideal for mobile applications. Although it is the perfect complement to the full-range systems of the AIR series, it can also be excellently combined with any third-party speaker. And, of course, it sounds great and provides outstanding transparency and natural music reproduction in the deep bass range.

What can I say, bought this sub based on lots of research as I needed a sub that could go low, very very low and at high spl and I must say the bass end bumps big time on this bad boy! Most subs on the market sacrifice frequency response for spl in this price range but this beast does the opposite thing.. Set the rear dial to 0db and send it a very hot signal and watch it not clip, limit or bottom out even while doing 30hz of sub bass! My guess is PreSonus left allot of dynamic headroom for peaks which would explain a lot but let's face it on paper the quoted 129db is lower than the jbl's, EV's and so on in the same price range but they lack the depth this sub manages to reach producing lows that are rare in a pa sub at this price point.
Pros: Sub bass is well delivered by this sub.
Dynamic headroom is very surprising at this price.
Well featured setup options for using the sub for multiple applications.
Comes with casters that don't rattle.
Cons: No built in High pass filter for tops.
No locking power cord socket.
Nonstandard pole mount for flying top speakers, needs a smaller diameter than the industry standard.
