The Sandberg California TT4 Passive Lefthand RW Natural Satin is a 4-string bass for left-handers fitted with 2x Sandberg Alnico single coil pickups and passive tone control. The TT4 Passive presents a 4-string electric bass that impresses with its traditional design and classic sound. With its ash body and a six-bolt maple neck and rosewood fingerboard this bass provides a versatile range of playing tones.
Traditionally Built
TT4 Passive basses are constructed using the traditional method, choosing Ash for the body, Maple for the neck and Rosewood for the fingerboard. A more modern style can be found in the necks construction, which employs a 6-fold bolting process, and has a positive effect on the attack and resonance behaviour of the 4-string. The slim "C" profile of the neck offers comfort and playability.
Single Coils & Passive Switching
The pickups found on this instrument are Sandberg's own single coils, with Alnico V magnets and a traditional passive circuit (with 2x volume and 1x tone control). This lends the Calfiornia TT4 a wide spectrum of available sounds that are suited to the majority of musical styles, making it the perfect all-rounder for pop, rock, blues and not least jazz.
