The Tama HT750BC Ergo-Rider Hydraulix Drum Throne comes with an ergonomic padded cloth seat, an adjustable height of 505-685mm, double-braced tripod legs, and Seat Lock casting. The Ergo-Rider provides ergonomic comfort and support thanks to a hybrid of a round seat and a saddle seat. This thereby offers the maneuverability of the former, and the playing support of the latter. The front cutaway allows flexible thigh movement. The cloth top features a special fabric material that battles perspiration and prevents drummers from slipping while playing.
The main features of the Tama HT750BC Ergo-Rider Hydraulix Drum Throne include:
My cheap round drum throne was making it uncomfortable playing for longer than 30 minutes (it probably had cheap sponge/foam inside it) and I had to remove a bold to alter the height for my young son to play. In contrast, Tama's hydraulic Drum Throne 1st chair is very comfortable and sturdy and height adjustment could not be easier or quicker. The seat is large and thick with a velvet feel and is cut away at the front which I think makes it easier when playing the high-hat pedal and kick drum pedal. The feet are also thicker and thus give more stability.
Having bought and started to learn how to play the drums during lockdown in May 2020 my first throne was a small round offering by Yamaha.
It's been up, its been down, it's sat on blocks of wood for 8 months but still it didn't feel right.
I went a bit wild and bought the Tama 1st drum throne. What a difference, so mush more comfortable.
Comfortable should = better drumming, I can but hope.
A very comfortable chair with plenty of height adjustment. I have no regrets about investing so much in a drum throne and I'm sure it's going to last for years.
