Tama Starphonic Copper: Full sound with a lot of bass
The 1.2 mm thin pure copper shell promises a deep and raw sound, but at the same time has balanced overtones and clear definition. The sound of copper is very rich and bass-heavy at first, but is then complemented by finest overtones and focused attack in sustain. Evans heads are factory mounted, a G1 Coated as batter head and an Evans Snare Side on the reso side. As standard the MS20RL14C snare wire is made of carbonized steel, it responds sensitively and in combination with the Linear Drive throw-off allows high dynamic gradations.
Excellent shell hardware: Grooved Hoops and Freedom Lugs
Tama Freedom Lugs have the advantage that they can be folded away from the shell by loosening the tension rods, so that the heads can be changed quickly without having to completely unscrew all the rods. The Claw Hooks also have a rubber block inside that prevents the screws from loosening while playing. The sound remains constant due to this tuning lock. The rounded Grooved Hoop by Tama protects the drumsticks and supports a focused sound, which nevertheless unfolds freely.
