Read correctly! There's never been a better time to upgrade to an Apollo, the world's most renowned professional recording interface for Thunderbolt and Firewire-based recording studios with Macs or Windows PCs - from April 1 through August 31.
Apollo Audio Interfaces provide A / D and D / A conversion in unenriched top quality, and the included DSP processing power allows you to record latency-free via the authentic analog emulations of the UAD plug-ins --without loading your computer's CPU and regardless of the buffer size of your software.
It feels like all the processors of an analog vintage dream studio are built into your studio rack.
The plug-ins included in the promotion will be automatically added to your account when you register your new Apollo 8, 8p, 16 or Apollo FireWire device.
You already have one of the included plug-ins? No problem. Buy and register a new Apollo rack interface and you can choose from a number of alternative plug-in(s)* on the UA website.
The Universal Audio Apollo 8p is the profound development for one of the world's most popular professional audio interfaces. Special emphasis was placed on improved sound in combination with the feeling and flow of analog recordings. The 16 x 20 Thunderbolt interface combines as a new audio reference class eight built-in Unison™ microphone preamps - perfectly suited for mobile applications and recording complete bands - and UAD-2 QUAD processing, original analog UA circuit design as well as next generation A/D and D/A conversion in one stylish new housing.
Apollo 8p also integrates real-time UAD-2 processing and Unison™ technology, with which all UAD plug-ins from Neve, Studer, Manley, Lexicon and many others - including the new Mic Preamp emulations from Neve, API and Universal Audio - can be used almost latency-free during recording. The Apollo Expanded software now allows cascading up to four Apollos and a total of up to six UAD-2 devices in one system via Thunderbolt (Mac), making it easy to expand studios as requirements grow.
The audio quality of the Apollo 8p has been further improved compared to the reference sound of the original Apollo. The completely revised A/D and D/A conversion provides an increased dynamic range and a lower distortion factor. This results in breathtaking purity, depth and fidelity throughout the recording workflow, from recording and overdubs to mixdown and mastering.
Apollo 8p offers a number of improvements on the front compared to the original Apollo. These include old speakers, dim and mono functions as well as input and output metering via the new meter switch. These features in combination with the scalability of the Apollo system define the new standard in professional multi-channel audio recording.
