Behringer A800 at a glance
The A800 power amplifier is a versatile, high-efficiency 800W Class D amplifier that can be used in professional recording studios or even at home when the best sound quality is required. It has XLR, TRS and RCA connectors, so you can always stay flexible. On top of that, the Behringer A800 power amp uses advanced silent convection cooling to keep studio noise levels low. There are high-precision level meters and clip indicators that make it easy to monitor performance, and thanks to the ultra-low impedance design, the A800 can be used with almost any passive speaker, including studio monitors.
I needed a power amp for my home studio and the Behringer met the price point and the requirements. After connecting up, just set a volume level and turn off and on as required. No mains or transformer hum unlike previous amps I tried.
Very pleased and a 3 year warranty gives peace of mind.
It's no wonder the A 800 is a best seller. It outperforms an Alesis A500 I had years ago. Detail, dynamics, stereo imaging the best amp I have owned to date on general music playback and studio monitoring. How much? !!!!!!!! And not "burned in" Yet! Very pleased indeed.
I am very impressed with Behringer A800 after using my Alesis RA 500 amp for years which was a solid reference amp. However I was more impressed with the ultra speed of my delivery from DV247 than the actual product itself!
Am I allowed to say that? 🤭
I purchased this product to expand my surround sound system to eleven channels by connecting it to the preout connections on my AV receiver. It has worked perfectly since I can use it to drive my front left and right speakers which do the most work in this type of system and it has allowed me to re purpose the existing amplifiers in my AV receiver to drive an additional pair of speakers.I also like the led meters which can give an indication of where most of the sound track is being generated. All in all a good purchase for me for not too much money.
Very clean sound. With the amp turned to full and a muted source only the faintest hum can be heard from the speakers.
As a class D amp I have no issues running this turned down and you won’t do your back in lifting it.
Very happy to recommend to anyone wanting an amp to either drive studio monitors or a small PA pair.
Not sure they would cope as a touring rig but for installed or light mobile, no problems at all.
