Boss FV-500H, High Impedance is a high-impedance, mono volume pedal for use directly after an electric guitar and before effects pedals.
The Boss FV-500H is the high impedance version (a low impedance version is available) and is intended for use at the beginning of a pedal chain, or simply between a guitar and an amp.
The FV-500H offers an output for a tuner, so that even if the volume is down, the signal will bypass only into the tuner. There's even an option to use the FV-500H as an expression pedal with expression-compatible amps, effects, and synthesizers.
The main features of the Boss FV-500H, High Impedance include:
This is the best volume pedal I have ever used. Sturdy construction, enough room for regulation of needed gain, very precise, and stiffness of pedal can be regulated.
In one sentence, great value product. Professional gear for unexpensive price.
Took 2 weeks to arrive, tracking said it had been processed in Germany and was on route to the UK this took 9 days. After 4 days (as stated in delivery times) I called Customer Support to ask why was it still showing as at German depot. They were uninterested and couldn't be bothered to query with carrier. Only after second call and threat to cancel did it magically appear the next day. Would rather use Thomann...
I bought this pedal after my M-Audio EX-P expression pedal broke (don't buy it, it's mostly plastic) and I wanted a new expression pedal. It works great as an expression pedal and of course as a volume pedal. I only wish I had looked better at the options and bought the stereo version.
