The CME Xkey 37 USB Controller Keyboard is a simple to use but powerful MIDI keyboard. The slim and stylish design is light and durable, making it the perfect travelling companion. In fact, it only weighs 880 grams making it 20% lighter than a MacBook Air.
37 full size keys give you three octaves of playability and creativity, and with octave + and - buttons, you have a full range keyboard at your hands. Adding to the realism, the Xkey has 128 levels of velocity sensitiveness. All this is built in to a robust, high quality aluminium housing that has a finish similar to an Apple MacBook.
The Xkey 37 features Polyphonic Aftertouch, a feature that allows a player to vary a parameter on each note independently, based on the pressure placed on the key. This massively increases creativity, giving you a very interesting way to manipulate MIDI. It is also customisable via the Xkey Plus application. Use this to configure your keyboard how you like it and make it your own. An included cable named Xcable gives you access to MIDI OUT and the ability to add sustain and expression pedals.
The Xkey is completely USB powered which helps with portability and the sleekness of the device. The single USB cable that powers the device, also updates it. Not the cable itself that is, you have to do it yourself online, but the regular updates bring new features and stability to the MIDI keyboard.
