Cornerstone Aquarium: Analog univibe with precise modulation options
The Cornerstone Aquarium is a univibe effect pedal that generates various chorus, vibrato and rotary effects and can produce extensive univibe sounds thanks to a completely analog signal path. The Italian family business focuses on handmade work and with Aquarium is launching its own version of the classic Univibe effect from the 1960s. With a well-thought-out design and additional features, Cornerstone has created a flexible pedal that offers a modern interpretation of the classic vintage effect and precise modulation options.
Deep Univibe waters
The Cornerstone Aquarium leaves nothing to be desired in terms of setting options and focuses above all on a user-friendly structure and the ability to find a balanced sound for individual needs. In addition to controls for Volume, Tone and Mix, the LFO curve can be adjusted using the conventional Depth control, while Speed 1 / Speed 2 can be used to control the speed of the phases. In addition to the bypass switch, the Speed 1 / Speed 2 footswitch can be used to switch between the two speeds, creating a clean rotary effect. There is also a "Momentary Speed Change" function, which is activated by holding the Speed 1 / Speed 2 switch and automatically switches between the two speeds for a short time. The Inertia toggle switch can be used to set how quickly the speed should be changed - there are three modes to choose from (Instant, Medium, Slow).
Further flexibility is provided by the mix mode, which can be set to blend or mix using a toggle switch. On the one hand, blend mode allows you to switch from a 100% dry signal to a completely wet signal, while mix mode simply mixes the vibe effect into the original signal. This allows precise settings to be made in order to find the perfect balance for individual requirements.
