The limited edition Epiphone Korina Explorer is a true classic and continues the tradition of the first limited edition Korina Explorers of the fifties. The electric guitar with its radical design is based on proven dimensions in the form of a Slim Taper D neck profile of the sixties with classic saddle width and scale length and offers detailed features including Alnico Classic pickups, Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover tuners. Now available in limited quantities!
The basic construction of the Epiphone Korina Explorer is made of Korina or African Limba wood, which is appreciated by guitar builders and musicians for its resonant properties. The Antique Natural Finish offers detailed insights into the grain and texture of this rarely used clay wood with mahogany grain and colour.
Two in-house pickups in the form of an Alnico Classic at the neck and a hotter wound Alnico Classic Plus humbucker at the bridge are available. Wrapped according to a classic recipe, the pickups deliver coveted PAF sounds and can be controlled with two separate volumes and a master tone thanks to original wiring.
The Korina Flying V is equipped with a LockTone Tune-o-Matic bridge, which is not only two-dimensionally adjustable, but also with its locking studs for easy string changes and a fixed bridge-body connection. Behind the bridge the strings are held by a Stopbar tailpiece according to a proven recipe, while at the other end solid Grover Rotomatic tuners in classic Tulip look are used.
