The body of the Fame Forum Custom is made of mahogany and has a two-piece flamed maple top. The experienced guitar builders from Gdansk pay attention to a strong and high-contrast grain with a three-dimensional depth effect, which is complemented by the ruby red shining transparent red finish. A further optical depth effect as well as clear body contours is achieved by the shimmering iridescent Abalone-Purfling, which is finished with a single-layer cream-coloured binding.
If you play the Fame Forum Custom, you will love the slim profile and the weight of the instrument, both on the belt and on the lap! For ergonomic reasons, all the instrument's hardware in the form of potentiometers, bridges and switches are recessed in the ceiling to make Palm Mutes and pickings as comfortable as possible.
Whether shredder or blues fan: Both fast runs and organic bends are ideally supported by the slim but contoured'C' profile of the mahogany neck. The Forum Custom has a flattened neck foot to reach the high positions, while the extended neck pins (Long Neck Tenon) glued under the neck pickup emphasize values such as sustain and constructional stability.
Classical rock sounds, singing blues leads and aggressive metal riffs are the profession of the classic Seymour Duncan combination of a SH-4b JB model humbucker on the bridge and a SH-2n jazz pickup in neck position. Hand-wound and manufactured in the United States, the market leader's pickups feature Alnico 5 magnets and provide well-balanced output with convincing pressure without giving up the dynamic range. Last but not least, both pickups can be switched to single coil operation via Mini Switch.
Of course, no hardware savings were spared either: The noble guitar, fully equipped with high-quality Schaller parts, features a GTM piezo bridge with strings from GraphTech, solid Schaller M6 clamping mechanisms with backlocking function and security locks already installed at the factory for safe stage performances. Of course, all hardware parts are coated with 24 carat gold. When we talk about premium hardware, we mean it!
