With the Ibanez AE240JR-MHS Mahogany Sunburst
Due to the AE construction, a balanced sound is created, which is enriched by an Okoume body as well as a solid Okoume top and a warm note. A natural and warm tone is enhanced by the bridge made of ovangkol, which directs the string vibration directly to the soundbox. The necessary assertiveness and full bass is produced by the Scallopped-X bracing used here, where the top rail is ground deeper in the middle. The resulting lower resistance allows the top to resonate better and allows the sound to unfold more freely. The sound characteristics offered with this instrument provide an optimal result, through which you will inspire both on stage and when jamming.
The Nyatoh neck in satin finish with Ovangkol fingerboard is extremely comfortable in the hand and its nut width of 43 mm fulfils all the necessary requirements for Flatpicking and strumming. The practical cutaway allows easy access to the high registers and the tortoise pickguard protects the material when playing with plectrums. Gripping is also easier due to the shortened scale length of 607 mm and is especially recommended for inexperienced fingers. An added bonus are the Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, which can be easily removed by a stopper and the string change quickly and easily.
In order for the guitar to perform at its best on stage, it features the Ibanez T-Bar Undersaddle Pickup and the Ibanez
The AE240JR-MHS is rounded out by a natural look in a mahogany sunburst open pore finish. This is complemented by visual highlights such as the abalone maple rosette, the white binding and the decoration in combination with the lettering on the headstock.
