Detailed compressor comparison
Old design, new components
The Lindell LiN76 is a modern replica of the legendary Urei 1176 compressor and limiter. Equipped with high-quality components and US-made transformers, it is visually and technically based on the historical model, but has been equipped with modern components and updated circuitry. or and how this affects the sound of the LiN76, and how it performs sonically compared to the original and other replicas, you can see in the video of the detailed compressor comparison.
What control options does the LiN76 offer me?
Lindell has already proven with their 500 modules that they can cleverly bring classic circuitry into the modern age. With the LiN76, they apply this talent to aregular studio legend and present an FET compressor with a classic sound. The LiN76 allows you to control input, output, attack, release as well as switchable ratio dynamics control with vintage sound. The large VU meter can be calibrated with a rear panel control. Like the prototype, the LiN76 also offers the "All-Buttons-In" mode, which turns the compressor into a brickwall limiter with a particularly aggressive sound.
