The LIVEN MEGA SYNTHESIS is a retro game music-style groovebox created in collaboration with renowned composer Yuzo Koshiro. It offers the ability to faithfully recreate the iconic sound of the world's first 16-bit game consoles. This device is characterized by its ability to create multi-layered and original grooves on six tracks by combining three legendary sound engines from the early 80s.
You experience a fusion of the sounds of the famous YM2612 chip and the unmistakable sounds of the SN76489 from Texas Instruments, which was used in many early digital game consoles and is known from numerous retro games. This blend is complemented by a sampling engine that can switch between 8 and 4 bits, with a maximum sampling time of 8 seconds, selectable between 48, 24 or 12 kHz.

1st engine: 6-voice FM sound module for tracks 1-3 with 4 operators and 8 algorithms modeled on the YM2612 chip
2nd engine: 4-voice PSG sound module for tracks 4-5 with 11 different basic waveforms including noise modeled on the TI SN76489
3rd engine: PCM sound module/sampler for track 6 with 3 voices (1 voice in one-shot mode) with 8bit and12/24/48kHz depending on sampling rate between 2 and 8 seconds sampling time, 96 sample memory locations
The Japanese composer has been active in the game music industry for many years and is known from works such as"Streets or Rage","Etrian Odyssey" and"Ys". Yuzo has incorporated his many years of experience into the instrument and has provided a preset database with 32 legendary FM presets and 8 special game music patterns.
