Bog by After Later Audio is an obscure mix of tone generator and random voltage generator based on Erica Synths' Swamp module. Strictly speaking, both are based on Wiard 's famous Wogglebug. Among other things, Bog sees itself as a central module in self-generating patches and generates controllable randomness. The circuit consists of two analogue oscillators with two waveforms each, a ring modulator and a sample & hold with its own clock generator. The oscillators have individual outputs (Tone & Bog) and also pass through the ring modulator, which has its own output. Additionally, you can send an external audio signal together with the oscillators through the ring modulator. Already here it should be clear that Bog is capable of a lot of weird sounds. The internal clock generator feeds its Clock into the Sample & Hold, outputs the Clock additionally via a jack and can be replaced by an external Clock or a Gate. Cluster is used to set how much the random voltages of the S&H affect the oscillators. No matter whether in the audio or CV range, Bog is a gain for generative sounds that are not completely left to themselves.
