The Alesis Q25 Features:
I bought this as a space-saving replacement for a 49-key midi controller for home-studio use. It arrived quickly and well packaged (maybe a bit over the top with the size of the outer box) to the UK from Music Store. I'm not a keyboard player and the 25 keys - with octave up/down buttons - are plenty for my needs. The unit seems solid and well built. There are plenty of small USB keyboards out there but I'm old school and I like the fact that this has midi out. There is provision for a separate power supply (not included in the purchase) but I power mine directly from a power socket into the USB input. Are looks important? For me, yes, and this thing looks good.
worked perfectly with acid pro.apart from velocity, other functions i.e volume, midi channel all controlled by daw,all i had to do was play.25 keys more than sufficient for range with the 2 octave shift up and down.overall very happy with this product.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Easy to use/setup, takes up v little space and thankfully has midi out as well as USB midi. Velocity response is good, but I’m no keyboard player. Build quality seems very good for the price. And it won’t break the bank.
