The 7.5 m CAE 17619/SW audio extension cable features undistorted and very low-loss signal transmission. Its balanced signal transmission and high-quality Neutrik connectors contribute to this.
Cables with balanced signal transmission have two useful signal-carrying conductors through each of which the same voltage is sent, but whose oscillations are mirror-inverted. Any interference therefore affects the signal conductors equally. However, since the useful signal consists of opposite-pole voltage values, the interference is cancelled out by difference formation.
The extension cable is equipped with high-quality connectors from Neutrik. Neutrik products always convince by excellent performance, good workmanship and high durability. The versions used here are the NP3X jack plug and the NJ3FC6 jack socket.
The Neutrik NP3X jack plug belongs to the X-series. With a width of only 14.5 mm, this connector offers a slim design for high mating density. The elegant die-cast housing is particularly robust and, thanks to the proven collet strain relief, cables can also be securely fixed. Last but not least, nickel-plated contacts ensure long durability and do not get stuck in the connector due to their precise milling.
The NJ3FC6 jack plug is suitable for both mono and stereo jacks, which it provides with a robust and secure connection. Since the jack plug automatically snaps into place when plugged in and can only be released by operating the latch, there is no fear of loss due to a shaky connection. Accidental disconnection, shocks or vibrations are therefore no problem. Qualitatively, the jack also convinces with a robust metal housing, cable strain relief and bend protection, which contribute significantly to a long service life. Silver-coated contacts ensure excellent conductivity.
