The Evans TT14C7 Calftone Tom/Snare Batter Head 14" is a tom/snare batter head featuring a size of 14" with a construction including a 7mil film base and synthetic calfskin top. Calftone drumheads are a synthetic alternative to traditional calfskin. They embody the look and sound of a natural skin but with the consistency, fit, and tuning range made standard with Level 360 Technology. These heads bring out the best of a vintage kit and evoke a classic appearance and sound from modern drums.
The Evans Calftone series tom heads are slightly thinner than the bass drum heads in this series. They consist of a 7 mil thick film, which gets its appearance and sound characteristics by the addition of different materials. The thin heads optimize the sound of smaller drums and enable higher tunings as well as an improved tonal response.
