The Fender American Original '60s Precision Bass MN Olympic White convinces with the authentic playing feeling and sound of the original P-Bass, which could be heard on almost every album in the 1960s as an integral part of the music world. Accordingly, the four-string has the classic construction with an alder body and screwed maple neck, while a Fender Pure Vintage '63 split coil pickup on the amplifier delivers the legendary Preci sound. Last but not least, the Fender offers American Original '60s Precision Bass with traditional hardware features including a 4-saddle standard bridge and Pure Vintage Reverse Open Gear tuners.
For the construction of the Fender American Original '60s Precision Bass, Fender uses the original construction plans. Accordingly, the alder body has the historically correct proportions, while the screwed neck is made of maple with a rosewood fingerboard. The"1963 C" profile, which is not too strong, lies comfortably in the hand, so that every groove goes off the fingers easily. Last but not least, the nitrocellulose finish allows the wood to vibrate freely, giving the electric bass a lively sound.
A split coil pickup in the typical mid-position is used on the Fender American Original '60 Precision Bass. The Fender Pure Vintage '63 Split Coil has an authentic material selection, which includes coilformers made of vulcanized fiber, enamelled winding wire and Alnico V magnets. Accordingly, the four-string amp delivers a powerful bass sound with a deep bass foundation and a distinctive growling in the middle, making every note played noticeable in the pit of the stomach. The tried-and-tested passive circuit with volume and tone controls is also available for adjusting the timbre.
Last but not least, the Fender American Original '60s Precision Bass is equipped with classic hardware in vintage style. The Fender 4-Saddle Vintage Style Bridge serves as a bridge on the body, whose four string riders guarantee an exact intonation adjustment and a comfortable string position. The thread-like surface also allows a certain adjustment of the string spacing. Behind the bone saddle, Fender Pure Vintage Reverse Open Gear tuners on the headstock ensure stable and precise tuning.
