The Fender CD-60S at a glance
Because of its optimal conditions, the Fender CD-60S Dao is excellent for beginners and advanced players. The flat neck is easy to grip, especially for inexperienced fingers, and promises a quick sense of achievement. Moreover, thanks to the solid top, an amazing sound result is achieved even with a light touch of the strings. With the help of the smooth tuners, the acoustic guitar is easy to tune, while the saddle and the finely notched nut ensure clean intonation over the entire 643 mm scale length. With its simple and timeless exterior, the instrument literally embodies the Fender Classic Design Series. Appearance is rounded off by a noble high-gloss finish.
The guitars from the Classic-Design-Series convince with their powerful sound, their easy playability and their timeless design
Structure and woods
In order for the guitar to produce a midrange-rich and balanced sound, the body is equipped with a solid spruce top. Laminated Dao back and sides enrich the bass frequencies with a pleasant warmth that creates a wide soundstage. The mahogany neck features a flat Easy-to-Play neck profile, making it easy to grip all 20 frets cleanly. The fingerboard and bridge are made of rough-grained walnut.
Hardware and design
The headstock is equipped with chrome-plated die-cast tuners, which allow for uncomplicated and precise tuning of the 6 steel strings. At the same time, the saddle and the 43 mm wide plastic nut ensure perfect sound development of all frets. These are marked with subtle dot inlays that contrast the wood of the fingerboard. The top is surrounded with a filigree multi-ply binding and decorated with a single ring soundhole rosette at the soundhole, against which a large black pickguard rests.
After many years of not playing I decided to buy a guitar again and was not disappointed. This guitar not only looks great but has fantastic sound and depth. Worth every penny
