The Gibson 1957 Les Paul Special in TV Yellow finish turns out to be a historically correct replica of the famous single-cut electric guitar of the late fifties, completed by the unmistakable TV Yellow finish and a high-quality finish, which was processed by careful handwork in the Gibson Custom store in Nashville, Tennessee. Initially conceived as an alternative between the student model and the gold top variant, this Les Paul Special Single Cut electric guitar is anything but a compromise. As such, the mahogany-crafted Les Paul features dual Soapbar P90 pickups with hard-wired circuitry for a memorable sound and comes with an authentic Lifton Hardshell Case and certificate of authenticity.
The legendary TV Yellow finish is not only particularly high quality due to nitrocellulose finish, but in combination with VOS processing delivers a unique vintage feel

Authentic construction
In building the 1957 Les Paul Special Single Cut Reissue, the Luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop naturally use historical methods and materials to reproduce the sound and feel of a vintage original as authentically as possible. The neck and body are accordingly crafted from carefully selected mahogany, with the use of hide-glue and a thin nitro finish guaranteeing unhindered sound development. The not-too-beefy "Chunky-C" neck profile also promises comfortable playing characteristics up to the high registers of the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

The electrical sound transformation of the '57 LP Special Reissue electric guitar is handled by two Gibson Custom P90 single coils with classic Soapbar housings. Wound to historic specifications in the Custom store, the pickups impress over the guitar amplifier with a powerful yet dynamic sound, whose fat midrange spectrum expertly showcases the traditional clean and overdrive sounds of Blues and rock. A hand-wiredcircuit with a robust Switchcraft toggle and precise CTS Audio taper pots allows you to dial in your personal sound, while historically correct Paper-in-Oil caps (oil paper capacitors) promise sensitive Treble roll-offs.

Historically correct attachments
Last but not least, historically correct attachments complete the 1957 Les Paul Special Single Cut Reissue VOSTV Yellow from the GibsonCustom store. The classic Gibsonwraparoundbridge serves as both a tailpiece and a bridge. It can be adjusted via two grub screws for the most accurate intonation possible, and its special construction contributes to the guitar's unadulterated tonal character. At the open-book headstock, a nylon nut guides the strings to the traditional Kluson Strip tuners mounted on a common baseplate, which keeps the electric guitar securely in tune.
