24" Flat Top Parlor Acoustic Guitar from the Gretsch Roots Collection
With the Gretsch G9500 Jim Dandy Flattop in the timeless Chieftain Red Burst finish, the traditional manufacturer ties in with the popular "Rex" parlor guitars of the 40s and 50s. The agile acoustic instrument has an agathis wood body with a crisp response and radiance, not least thanks to the X-ceiling strut. The Natohals in the classic C-profile is equipped with an easily playable rosewood fingerboard and a Dual Action Truss Rod for fine adjustment of temperature and humidity differences.
Optically, classic features such as the pickguard with "G" graphics, 50s Style Open Gear tuners with Vintage "T"-Roof logo and an aged black body binding ensure the well-known Gretsch appearance. All in all a successful replica for classics and fans of a compact Parlor for the living room at home.
The Gretsch G9500 Jim Dandy FSR Overview:
Parlor Acoustic Guitar from the Gretsch Roots Collection
It’s definitely one of the best bang-for-your-buck entry-level acoustics that’s a blast to play. This well-built guitar instills some much needed character and variety to the typically stale entry-level acoustic market. Definitely worth every penny!

easily the best bang-for-buck guitar youll find on the market nowadays, especially if youre a fingerpicker looking for some delta blues flavored guitar. Greatest virtue: easy, VERY easy to play ... almost addictive!

I've been eyeing the Jim Dandy for a while since I wanted a specific sound for blues, and this guitar definitely delivered! I knew it would sound great, but the first time I played it, the projection and the darkness of it blew me away. It's very comfortable for finger picking and strumming alike, the neck is a dream to play on. Just overall an amazing guitar that fits my needs to a T.

Great for finger-style, not so great for strumming as the higher registers are a little tinny, but not unexpected in such a small bodied guitar. Generally well set up but would benefit from a change of strings & maybe lower the action a little. I bought it as a travel guitar, so ideal for my practice needs & it didn't break the bank. Also, great service from DV247, couldn't fault them. Cheers guys.
