Industrial Music Electronics Hertz Donut Mk III at a glance
The Hertz Donut Mk III by Industrial Music Electronics Hertz is a digital 2 operator FM oscillator. This oscillator with Thru Zero FM and Wavefolder function offers two synthesis milestones of the 80s: Based on Yamaha's FM synthesis, the Hertz Donut MK III provides a broad foundation of FM sounds, and Casio's PD synthesis ( Phase distortion) has also been integrated. Let's calm down, both work without the display quilting of the 80s, everything can be used in the usual direct access.
Compared to the previous versions Hertz Donut Mk I and Mk II, the number of waveforms of the Hertz Donut Mk III was increased again. There is a Wavefolder, Thru Zero FM and Sample Rate Reduction (SRR). In Preset mode, there are 8 memory slots available for morphing with CV.
The Hertz Donut Mk III is therefore clearly recommended for sound experiments beyond the classical analog waveforms. With the offered possibilities one reaches sound clusters and textures, which one did not hear so far in such a way; bell-like FM sounds are naturally possible.
This module has a very wide range of sounds, some of which are hard to get with other modules. Mod Matrix, presets and the overall sound make this a great choice for everyone interested in experimenting. Great for many things!
