First of all I must say that the service from MUSIC STORE is out of this world. I live in the UK and ordered this bass on the Friday and it was delivered to my door on the following Tuesday. This is better service than I can expect from UK companies.
I was looking for a 1963 Fiesta Red bass to replace my old Squire bass as I wanted to play in a Shadows Tribute band and that is the uniformity of guitars.
I didn't expect much for just over 100 Euros. I thought I could always swap the pickups and electrics if I had to, but there was no need. The quality of the instrument was as good as any of my other basses costing treble this price. My only criticism was a slight shielding problem causing a hum at times. This was easily fixed with a bit of shielding tape.
Overall I would say that this bass is worth a lot more money than it is selling for but don't tell Jack and Danny.
I had 3 basses in my life, all beginners'. This one is by far the best one I had. It's absolutely well made, the color is fantastic (vintage white), the sound is great, but the most incredible of course is the price. Well done, J&D! I am very pleased and in love with my new purchase. :)
I have a P bass made by a certain very famous company, and I wanted a cheaper P bass to experiment with flatwound strings with.
As soon as I saw the colour of these basses, I thought wow, someone has got it right. Reviews seemd very favourable - in fact I dont think Ive heard anything bad.
Well, I gotta say - especially for the price, I was in love straight out of the box. Well, I should say, that out of the box, the set up was, well, NOT set up lol. However, it was supplied with the correct Allen key for the truss rod, and 20 mins later, its a really enjoyable instrument. The giveaways on the cheapness front, are the fret ends, which are a little sharp, and the machines feel a little "square edged." Nothing I would even consider a complaint at this price, and most importantly, as others have said, the pickups are pretty good.
I will be ordering the JB model immediately.
I bought these bass having low expectations, but it ended up being such a pleasant suprise!
Very good classy Fiesta Red finish and lightweight adler body.
Amazing neck, as straight and as stable as a neck can be ,good fretwork , playing with very low action.
Unbelievable loud unplugged sound with great balance, the G string(that sometimes can be weak) had tons of bass.
The pots are great and the pickups are decent. It records very well.
I loved it so much that I ordered a jazz bass as well, that was equally good, if not better.
The best value one can find , cant recommend it enough.
The frets arrived very sharp and long on both sides, had to file and finish it as ir was very unconfortable to play. After that it plays very nice.
