The Lewitt LCT 1040 is a modern tube and FET microphone of the absolute top class. It convinces all along the line with a great range of adjustment possibilities, a universally applicable sound behaviour and, of course, a natural, honest and musical sound that makes it suitable for any type of audio source. Highly selected components, a high-end condenser dual capsule and a circuit designed according to the current state of the art make this microphone a reliable studio companion for recording vocals, loud amps, drums and acoustic instruments of all kinds.
In a consistent development of the LCT 940's control capabilities, Lewitt has equipped the LCT 1040 with a rarely seen range of functions. The core feature of the LCT 1040 is the stepless controllability between FET and tube gain directly in the microphone. In addition, the tube circuit can be switched between the 4 characteristics Clear, Warm, Dark and Saturated. In this way, all conceivable timbres can be realized from just one microphone, even before the use of specific preamps, compressors or EQs, without having to spend time trying out different systems.
All functions of the LCT 1040 can be controlled via the remote control attached to the power supply. A commercially available microphone cable is used for the connection so that the remote control can be carried out conveniently from the control room without the hassle of running around. As long as the remote control and power supply are together, no XLR cable is necessary.
