The Marshall Studio Vintage SV20H Head brings the brutal volumes of the legendary Marshall 1959 to room-suitable volumes. The compact version of the classic 'Plexi' offers not only the classic appearance but also the coveted voicing of the original for studio and recording purposes. For this reason, the Studio Vintage Head has been equipped with a serial effect loop with an additional activation switch and a DI output including speaker simulation, while the power amplifier output can be limited from 20 watts to 5 watts in low mode. As a result, this mini monster's EL34 output stage produces rich tube sounds even at low volumes with the loudness control torn open.
20 Watt or 5 Watt
Depending on the application, the high and low mode of the standby switch offers different power levels for different applications. Especially for bedroom shredding and for recording purposes, the power amp is limited to 5 watts in low mode, which limits the dynamic range, but allows the power amp to be tapped further to achieve classically rich Marshall sounds. In the 20 watt high mode, however, the Studio Vintage is capable of providing adequate sound for rehearsals and small gigs.
