The Meris Ottobit Jr. is a versatile bitcrusher for electric guitar and bass that will put a big smile in the face of all fans of classic video game and arcade sounds. For example, the bit rate and sample rate controls provide the ability to bend or completely destroy the sound towards the vintage console, while a low-pass filter reduces distracting or harsh treble.
Meris Ottobit Jr. also offers a sequencer that affects either the pitch or the filter and is adjustable in the number of signal processing operations. The speed at which the sequencer operates can be set using the Tap Tempo footswitch and the multiplier control. In addition, the signal can be literally stuttered via the "Stutter" potentiometer, whereby the timing is also set via the Tap footswitch.
In addition to the stereo outputs, the Meris Ottobit Jr. also offers an expression connector, which can be used to connect an optionally available expression pedal for fading between two different settings. It can also be used to connect additional optional footswitches and even MIDI controls.
