With an extremely powerful quad-core SHARC DSP, an enormous and ever-growing selection of different amps, effects and IRs, as well as an easy-to-understand yet professional user interface including multi-touch Display, the compact Quad Cortex is the perfect companion for bedroom shredders as well as session musicians and stadium-filling pros. The Quad Cortex offers a wide range of connectivity options in the form of two effects loops, numerous jack and XLR outputs, MIDI connectivity and USB, allowing it to play to its full strengths in any application. Furthermore, the innovative Neural Capture function is on board, which allows detailed images of existing real rigs to be reproduced in greater detail than ever before.
Under the hood, the Neural DSP Quad Cortex features a 2 GHz SHARC DSP that provides enormous power reserves and latency-free real-time calculation of individual effect algorithms.
Quad core powerhouse & Cirrus Logic audio codecs
The heart of the Neural DSP Quad Cortex is the enormous processing power that the floorboard draws from its 2 GHz quad-core SHARC architecture. This means that the Quad Cortex provides more than enough processing power to load, for example, four amp simulations including cab simulation and several complex stereo effects without having to make any compromises in terms of latency and general performance. If you want to use the Quad Cortex as an audio interface, you can rely on the high-quality audio codecs from Cirrus Logic and transfer audio signals to DAWs with ultra-low latency and in best quality.
The aluminum chassis of the Neural DSP Quad Cortex features eleven rotary footswitches, a master volume control, and a 7-inch multi-touch display.

For creating, editing and saving your own sound creations, the Neural DSP Quad Cortex offers easy-to-use precision tools. Via the 7" multi-touch Display with several touch sensors, settings like eg. Equalizer curves can be adjusted and changed easily and on-the-fly, while the footswitches with rotary control function allow exact settings of effect parameters. The innovative footswitches are made of sturdy steel and, just like the display, which is protected by reinforced glass, are of course absolutely roadworthy.
With two combo inputs including switchable phantom power, two effects loops, separate outputs in XLR and jack format, and other useful connections for MIDI and expression control, the Quad Cortex is well equipped for really any application.

Of course, the selection of amps, effects and IRs is constantly being expanded with additional algorithms, so there are no limits to your creativity.
A wide range of connection options
In order to be optimally networked in really any environment and setup, the Neural DSP Quad Cortex has a multitude of connection options with high-quality Neutrik connectors. In addition to two inputs in combo format for XLR or jack and additional phantom power for microphones, two effects loops and both mono and Stereo usable outputs in jack or XLR format are on board. Control via MIDI is also easily possible thanks to MIDI In and Out/Thru, while two EXP connectors grant real-time control of effect parameters via external pedals. A USB-B port is also built in for firmware updates, recording purposes via interface function and MIDI control.
Groundbreaking Neural Capture Function
For those who already own an extensive rig with expensive boutique amps, precious vintage effects, and high-quality microphones, the Quad Cortex's Neural Capture feature makes it easy to save and share them with other users. For this, Neural DSP uses the unique Biomimetic AI technology, which lets the Quad Cortex 'learn' the individual sound character and all the subtleties of the setup at hand, and then reproduce it accurately and naturally sounding. Thanks to the ever-growing community, more and more rig creations created this way are available for free via the cloud.
Neural CNS via WiFi
Of course, the Neural DSP Quad Cortex offers numerous ways to access the modern benefits of the Cortex Cloud. Via the floorboard's internal WiFi module, additional devices can be synchronized, presets can be saved as cloud backups and shared with other users. Comfortable editing and browsing of the Quad Cortex presets via Neural CNS Mobile and Cortex Desktop Controller with PCs, smartphonesor tablets as well as the wireless installation of firmware updates are also possible.
