The Radial Catapult TX4L is a four-channel audio snake designed to route four channels of line level signal over long distances with a Cat5/Cat6 shielded cable without affecting the signals. It is therefore useful for live sound reinforcement applications, as it allows live stage technicians to use relatively inexpensive cables to ensure high-quality audio connections near large stages and venues. It is also suitable for system providers who can now use pre-wired networks to transmit audio in different rooms.
The Catapult TX4L offers four XLR input jacks and four XLR transformer balanced passages optimized for line level signals. You will also note the two etherCON connections of type RJ45. One of these is an output that can be used with the RX4L on the receive side. The other is a throughput and can be implemented in the routing signal to other catapults. All in all, you have the option of splitting the line level signal and routing it to three different positions.
A ground lift switch helps to avoid noise on the Cat5 or Cat6 line, while a steel handle ensures easy transport, and four bumpers protect the Ethernet sockets and the ground lift switch from wear and tear.
