The noble Koa top of the T5z Custom rests on a resonance-friendly Sapele body.
Clever construction
To combine the handy playing characteristics of an electric guitar with first-class acoustic sound characteristics, Taylor uses a clever bolt-on construction for the T5z Custom. The slim Sapele body together with the solid Koa top provides a warm and lively resonating sound. The mahogany neck is also fastened bomb-proof with just one screw, while the slim C-profile promises agile playing characteristics right up to the highest registers of the ebony fingerboard.
The three pickups of the T5z Custom can be selected in different combinations via the 5-way switch. The controls of the active preamp allow precise adjustment of the timbre.

The three-pickup T5z Custom Koa delivers a flexible sound spectrum at the guitar amplifier, which includes both electric and acoustic tones in the highest quality. The under-the-top neck humbucker and the bridge-mountedsingle-coil humbucker create the right foundation for appealing clean and overdrive tones. The combination of neck pickup and body sensor delivers a particularly natural acoustic guitar sound with lively dynamics. The T5z Custom's active Preamp also features an active 2-band tone control for customizing the guitar's sound.
