The Audix f6 is equipped with a hypercardioid characteristic. This stands for a high isolation of unwanted background noise, especially on loud stages. The f6 is suitable for any live performance and broadcast applications. Thanks to the specified characteristic and the patented capsule with LM type A diaphragm, an accurate and very natural reproduction of the recorded signal is guaranteed.
The Audix f6 is a lightweight and very compact instrument microphone that can be easily and quickly positioned on the instrument. Thanks to its extended frequency response from 40 Hz to 16 kHz and its ability to handle high sound pressures of up to 140 dB, the f6 is the first choice when it comes to miking low-frequency and percussive instruments. These include large rack toms, stand toms, cajons, djembes, kettle drums, Leslie cabinets (lower section), electric bass cabinets/combos, and kick drums.
The high quality die-cast metal housing with zinc alloy is equipped with a sturdy steel basket, which effectively protects the capsule behind it. This high mechanical level guarantees a low probability of failure and a very long service life.
