The Evans UV1 EQ4 18" is a robust bass drum head with integrated damping. Thanks to Level 360 technology, it has a particularly large tonal range and opens up a multitude of sound options for the drummer. The UV-cured coating is particularly durable and promises a significantly longer service life. A built-in damping ring controls the overtones and focuses the sound while eliminating interference frequencies.

UV-cured coating

The drum heads of the Evans UV1 series are single-layer heads with a thickness of 10 mil (approx. 0.254 mm). The coating of the UV1 heads is cured by a special process with ultraviolet light and promises a significantly longer service life than conventional coatings. In addition, it has a stronger structure than usual, which makes these heads particularly interesting for use with jazz brushes. The Level 360° technology ensures that the heads rest exactly on the shell, which guarantees the Evans heads a particularly high tonal range. These features make the Evans UV1 drumheads the most versatile and durable single-layer coated heads in the Evans range.

Built-in damping ring

Typical for Evans EQ4, the built-in damping ring for overtone control should not be missing. This focuses the attack and eliminates interfering frequencies for a pure frequency mix.
