GIBSON Les Paul Traditional 2017 HP Lefthand Honey Burst
left-handed electric guitar with AAA quality maple top, Soloist neck with rounded profile, Burstbucker 2 and 3 humbuckers and Gibson G-Force Tuning System, including Gibson aluminium case
The Gibson Les Paul Traditional 2017 HP Lefthand Honey Burst combines classic Les Paul features with modern high performance features to create a unique electric guitar for left-handers. The proven mahogany construction does without a weight relief, so that the electric guitar in combination with the solid maple top in flawless AAA quality delivers the typical Les Paul sound. The Soloist neck with "Rounded" profile and wide fingerboard lies comfortably in the hand and offers unhindered access to the high registers thanks to Fast Access Heel. The Burstbucker 2 and Burstbucker 3+ humbuckers deliver a hot vintage sound on the amplifier, which is perfect for modern Blues and Rock versions. The complex circuit with four push/pull potentiometers and DIP switches also offers up to 150 different sound variants. The equipment of the Gibson Les Paul Traditional 2017 HP Lefthand is completed by a Tune-O-Matic bridge with titanium string riders, an aluminium locking stop bar and the G-Force tuning system for fast and comfortable tuning.
Classic design and original mahogany body without weight relief.
Traditional Paula construction
With the Les Paul Traditional 2017 HP Lefthand, Gibson USA remains faithful to its proven design and relies on a full mahogany body without weight reduction, which is completed by an AAA-quality maple top. Only the modern Fast-Access Heel for smooth playability of the high registers of the rosewood fingerboard was adopted as part of the 2017 High Performance Series.
For maximum flexibility, the internal DIP switch stands for individually assignable coil taps and splits, treble bleeds and the new Transient Suppressor Circuit.
Burstbucker 2 & 3 Humbucker
With the double burstbucker configuration of the Les Paul Traditional, Gibson recreates the famous Paula sound in the form of two adapted humbuckers with a traditional Alnico II magnet. While the Burstbucker 2 in neck position evokes the spirit of classic medium output PAFs on the neck, the Burstbucker 3 variant on the bridge not only provides more steam, but also a balanced setup in the intermediate position. Last but not least, the push/pull function of all four potentiometers can be individually changed via an internal DIP switch and e.g. coil splits or an internal high pass filter can be activated.

Gibson Les Paul Traditional 2017 HP Lefthand Honey Burst
i camefrom Turkey to musicstore for buying a 2017 lp tribute hp, but there werent any. i had to choose another guitar. i gave a 6 hours to test some of the 2017 line up and some sale guitars including 2016 lp standard t - which were for same price 1699€. i can tell 2017 lp traditional hp was the best. it includes top of the line hp specs like new dip switch selector control unit, titanium nut and saddles, carved neck heel etc. these are modern specs and exactly the same with the 2017 lp std hp series but it has a traditional unrelieved body full of sustain and tone. Gibson always tells that weight relieving does not effect tone sustain too much. this is a big lie. this guitar is very heavy and you have to consider its weight when buying if you are planning to gig with it. gibson wants to sell more guitars and they are making lighter ones for that reason.
burstbucker 3+ is also one of the best of gibson pickups. bb2/3+ are not not clear as 57s. a little rounded and spacier. goes well with hi gain. my no.1 pickup is 57 classic+ and for that reason i spent very much time on the 2017 lp classic hp. it was cheaper with 57 classic and 57 classic+ but maple cap was not burning and also sustain was lower. i decided to give some time to try bb2/bb3+. if i dont like them after trying i can change the pickups but i cant fill a relieved body for sustain. aaa flamed maple cap with antique burst painting was another seducer. if you are looking for a lighter guitar and if you dont care about hp specs only a lp standard t is rival. i think it is best suited for recording or sitting and playing on lap giggers or home players.

Really one of the best electric guitars I had a chance to try. The build quality, the sound, the looks ... all is great. It has some weight to it, but in a nice way :)
