The body is made of African mahogany in the typical RG design and has a Koa top, while the bolted neck is made of eleven pieces of maple, walnut and bubinga. Thanks to the All Access Neck Joint and the nimble Wizard neck profile, the Premium RG6 convinces with particularly agile playing characteristics on the rosewood fingerboard.

EMG Pickups and Edge Tremolo

The electrical tone conversion of the Premium RG6KPAG is handled by an active HSS setup from EMG, which allows the guitar to deliver a particularly flexible sound spectrum for rock and metal. The EMG SA single-coils equipped with an Alnico V blade pole-piece promise an airy sound with rich highs and defined bass, while at the bridge the well-known EMG 81 ceramic humbucker provides juicy Drive with sharply focused mids and crisp Attack. A classic 5-way circuit with general volume and tone controls manages the pickups. In addition, the Premium RG6KPAG-NTF Natural Flat from Ibanez features an Edge double-locking tremolo and Gotoh tuners for unrestrained vibrato action.
