JACKSON USA Limited Edition Mick Thomson Soloist Deep Blood Metallic
Signature electric guitar with Seymour Duncan EMTY pickups and Fixed Floyd Rose bridge, including case and certificate
With the Jackson USA Signature Limited Edition Mick Thomson soloist Deep Blood Metallic, Jackson Guitars celebrates the return of Slipknots #7 to its guitaristic roots. The Jackson Custom Shop electric guitar offers the same Deep Blood Metallic finish as Thomson's first stage guitar, while extensive features such as extra slim neck profile, Seymour Duncan EMTY pickups and Fixed Floyd Rose bridge provide unsurpassed playing comfort and brute sounds.
The Jackson Mick Thomson soloist is based on the electric guitar that #7 used during the first Slipknot shows.
The continuous neck is easy to play thanks to the extremely slim profile and the smooth transition to the body.
Jackson Mick Thomson Signature: Soloist with extra fast neck
As in the early days of Slipknot almost two decades ago, Mick Thomson has relied on the classic Jackson soloist design for his signature model. Accordingly, the electric guitar has a mahogany body and a full-length neck, the rosewood centerpiece of which is flanked by two maple strips. The extremely slim profile of the neck was also manufactured to the exact specifications of #7 and offers extremely comfortable and fast playability, which is supported by the compound radius of the ebony fingerboard.
The Seymour Duncan Blackout EMTY humbuckers deliver the most brute metal sounds and keep their definition even during deep drop-tunings.
Seymour Duncan Blackouts
The Seymour Duncan Blackout EMTY set, which was developed in close cooperation with #7, is used as the pickup for the Jackson Mick Thomson Signature Soloist. The EMTY Bridge Humbucker convinces with a particularly powerful sound, which thanks to its special voicing hammers Palm Mutes on the low strings with rich punch and tight attack from the guitar amplifier, while solos shine through the band sound thanks to the focused mids. The EMTY Neck Humbucker, on the other hand, convinces with its warm, transparent sound, which is made for singing solos and crystal-clear clean sounds.
The Fixed Floyd Rose of the Jackson Mick Thomson Signature guarantees exact tuning and high tuning stability.
Fixed Floyd Rose Bridge
A special feature of the Jackson Limited Edition Mick Thomson Soloist is without a doubt the Fixed Floyd Rose bridge system. The double locking construction with fine tuners inspired by tremolo systems guarantees an extremely precise and stable tuning even when using extreme drop-tunings and powerful string sets. In addition, thanks to its smooth surface, the system provides a comfortable wrist-rest for Palm Mutes. The headstock in the typically aggressive Jackson design also features high-quality Gotoh tuners.
