I bought these to replace some single pole stands, these are much sturdier because of the 3 poles, however there is still a slight wobble when I turn the speakers on, though nothing to worry about and much more stable than the old stands, the base plate is bigger than the top plate, but the top plate is still large enough to sit my Adam A7Xs without any overhang. Height adjustment is straightforward but more importantly for me it allows any height, the old set had a safety pin mechanism and the holes were just too high or too low. Worth using a spirit level when setting the height as the three legs are set independently so it's possible to set them so the top plate isn't exactly level.
