With the Kluson Round Back tuners, Kluson skillfully continues the tradition of high-quality attachments for guitars in a modern design, which has existed since 1925. The solid and encapsulated tuners are self-lubricating and, in addition to a long service life, guarantee accurate tuning results thanks to a precise 1:18 ratio with absolute tuning stability in all positions. The Kluson MSS3C Round Backs for 3+3 headstocks feature 45° mounting tabs and German wings in a small chrome finish.
These are excelent tuners for the price.they are the perfect upgrade or make a great choice for peoplet hinking of doing home build guitars.this, and a first class service and delivery make this a 5 star rating from me on all fronts.
I have tried Kluson tuners before and I think they are pretty good.
I have used them to replace the tuners on my Deering Goodtime 2 banjo and here is what I notice as an upgrade:
- the ratio of the Klusons is 18:1 its pretty good for a banjo
- the Kluson tuners are heavier and the diecast metal is better tooled in my opinion
- the Kluson tuner buttons feels better, the metal is more smooth and rounded, there is no sharp edges
I got these to replace my Ibanez tuners (I was doing an "all gold" hardware transplant) and I was worried these tuners wouldn't be that good because they were inexpensive. I didn't need to worry...they're a great set of tuners.
The mounting screws (under the headstock) are a bit soft, so be careful when screwing them into the guitar's head or you'll strip the philips head screws.
