MARSHALL Studio Vintage SV20C Combo Black Levant/1974X Grille
Studio Combo Amplifier with Marshall 1959 Voicing
With the Marshall StudioVintage SV20C Combo Black Levant/1974X Grille we can offer our customers a very special version of the popular tube combo from England for the 50th anniversary of MUSIC STORE. The classically built amp comes with a black tolex including a gray front cover and is available in limited quantities exclusively at MUSIC STORE Cologne!
The Marshall StudioVintage SV20C Combo Black Levant/1974X Grille brings the brute volume of the legendary Marshall 1959 to room-ready levels. The compact version of the classic 'Plexi' offers not only the classic appearance, but also the coveted voicing of the original for studio and recording purposes. For this purpose, the StudioVintage combo has been equipped with a serial effects loop with additional activation switch and a DI output including Speaker-Simulation, while the power amp output of 20 watts in low mode can be limited to 5 watts. Thus, the EL34 power amp of the mini behemoth produces rich tube sounds even at low volumes with the loudness control turned up.
20 watts or 5 watts
Depending on the application, the high and low modes of the standby switch offer different power gradations for different applications. Especially for bedroom shredders and recording purposes, the power amp is limited to 5 watts in low mode, which limits the dynamics but allows the power amp to be cranked up further without any problems to achieve classically rich Marshall sounds. In the 20-watt high mode, on the other hand, the Marshall StudioVintage SV20C Combo Black Levant/1974X Grille is quite capable of providing adequate sound for rehearsals and small gigs.
10" Celestion V-Type
The combo version of the Marshall StudioVintage SV20C Combo Black Levant/1974X Grille features a custom-built 10" V-Type speaker from English speaker giant Celestion. A marriage between classic vintage speakers and modern designs, the V-Type offers a load capacity of up to 70 watts and a balanced sound with additional focus on the high mids and highs, and the typical Marshall sound of the StudioVintage to give additional definition in the band mix.
